SPMT 430 - Week 6 Blog - Grappling Industries Competition weekend .
So after a tough training camp for my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) team, Centreville BJJ, it was competition time for my team to those who decided to compete. Some had competed before and wanted to enjoy it, while for some others this would be their first time competing, and it was a great learning experience for them. During our training preparations, we would have them run sprints back and forth at the gym after a training session, volunteer to stay after for extra sparring sessions, and meet at the local high school track for extra cardio work. Run hills, run on the bleachers, and race one another to build up their cardio. Now it was game time for a local competition called Grappling Industries, a local tournament competition for locals who are getting into the sport/martial art of Jiu-Jitsu and want to test themselves.
